A multi-day fishing vessel belonging to Sri Lanka has been seized in the waters of Madagascar for illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing activities.
The latest 91st CeyFish outlet of the Lanka Fisheries Corporation was opened on 22nd of July at the Railway Station Road, Wadduwa in the Kalutara District.
The 14th District Fisheries Coordination Committee meeting was successfully held on 16th of July afternoon at the Old Government Agent's Office, Batticaloa, under the patronage of the Minister of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development, Mr. Sunil Handunnetti, and the Deputy Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources, Mr. Rathna Gamage.
