A group of experts who work in the Fisheries sector in collaboration with the Indian Government visited Sri Lanka on the initiative taken by the Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka. Accompanying the Indian Deputy High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Mr. Sathyanjal Pande, they met the Minister of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Fisheries Department, and the representatives of NARA and NAQDA Institutes on the 23rd of last month and discussed the matters pertaining to the development of fisheries sectors in Sri Lanka.

"It is a matter of happiness that the Ceylon Fishery Corporation which had been downcast due to inefficiency is getting updated to suit modernity.
