Solutions for the fishing community's issues—all under one roof!
The second discussion regarding the organization of the special mobile service which is implemented with the aims of identifying the daily challenges faced by the fishing community in the Galle district and providing prompt solutions through direct coordination with relevant public institutions, was successfully held yesterday (06) at the Galle District Secretariat under the patronage of Mr. Ratna Gamage, Deputy Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources.
Nearly 50 state institutions are set to collaborate on this public service program, which will enable the fishing community of the Galle district to address all their needs—including fisheries-related matters, livelihood development, and social welfare—under a single roof.
The Galle District Secretary, the Director General of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, the Vice Chairman of the Hikkaduwa Pradeshiya Sabha, officials from the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, as well as other Divisional Secretaries of the Galle District and heads and representatives of relevant public institutions, participated in this discussion.
