State Minister of Fisheries Mr. Piyal Nishantha de Silva said this while taking part in the opening ceremony of Ceylon Fisheries Corporation outlet in front of Alawwa weekly fair. This ceremony was held on 21st September 2022.
State Minister Mr. Piyal Nishantha de Silva, who commented further, stated that his aim is to have the customers the opportunity to buy quality fish products at affordable prices.
"We are creating a new chain of outlets. We are also reviving the old chain of Ceylon Fisheries Corporation outlets, which had lost customer confidence. This outlet established in Alawwa is a good example. In Alawwa, we started work at a new place in a new way. This outlet has been constructed with customer convenience and all facilities."
This Ceylon Fisheries Corporation outlet established at No. 177 in front of Alawwa weekly fair has provided the opportunity to buy fresh fish with the right weight at concessional prices. Arrangements have also been made to display all prices.
