Fisheries Deputy Minister Mr. Rathna Gamage extends his heartfelt greetings to all Sri Lankan Muslims celebrating Milad-un-Nabi, the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him), who descended as a mercy to the entire world and guided humanity towards the righteous path.

The message of greetings issued by him in this regard states as follows.

“The life of the Holy Prophet (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) and the noble teachings he preached are guidance that remain relevant to every era. In particular, he emphasized to the world the importance of brotherhood, compassion, charity, patience, and showing respect towards one another.

The greatest honor we can show to the Holy Prophet (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) is for all of us to live together with love, brotherhood, and peace, without distinctions based on race or religion.

In particular, our Government is always committed to working towards the welfare and improvement of the livelihoods of our Muslim brothers and sisters, who make a significant contribution not only to the fisheries sector of the country but also to national economic development.

On this holy day, I pray to Almighty God that peace, reconciliation, and national unity in Sri Lanka will be further strengthened as we follow the righteous path shown by the Holy Prophet (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him).

I extend my heartfelt ‘Milad-un-Nabi Mubarak’ greetings to all Sri Lankan Muslims.”
