Thai Pongal Day, which is celebrated with great festivity by the Hindu people of the world, is a special occasion of worshiping the Sun God (Surya Divyaraja) wishing for a prosperous harvest and spread of happiness in the lives of the people throughout the year.
This traditional festival is celebrated by Hindu devotees in this country with great festivity. We know that most of the brothers and sisters of the Eelam People’s Democratic Party also celebrate this festival very highly and it is their noble belief that this will bring prosperity in their lives.
May all our party members and all the Hindu devotees of this country fulfill these great wishes.
