The official launch ceremony of the Fisheries Sector Decision Support System (DSS), designed to modernize Sri Lanka’s fisheries sector, enable data-driven decision-making, and strengthen institutional coordination, was successfully held.

Developed under the Inclusive Digital Agriculture Transformation (IDAT) programme, this innovative digital platform marks a significant milestone in advancing technology and innovation within Sri Lanka’s fisheries sector.

The event, jointly organized by the Ministry of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources and the Ministry of Digital Economy, was held under the patronage of the Hon. Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources, Ramalingam Chandrasekar.
