“Let the darkness of injustice fade away, and the light of social justice shine bright” – Minister Ramalingam Chandrasegar
“Corrupt individuals, looters, underworld gangs, and drug traffickers — such destructive Narakasurars still live among us. It was to put a decisive end to their evil deeds that the people themselves took form as the National People's Power government,” said Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources, Hon. Ramalingam Chandrasegar, in his Deepavali message.
The Minister further stated:
“Deepavali should mark the removal of the darkness of injustice and the spreading of the light of social justice. We are already engaged in that noble mission. There is no place for injustice under our administration — social justice is our guiding principle. Therefore, under our rule, the darkness will certainly fade, and light will dawn in the lives of our people.
Deepavali is celebrated as the day when good triumphs over evil. Indeed, those who ruled this country in the past often committed great wrongs. Because of that, the National People's Power government has emerged as the true government of the people.
On this auspicious day, may the spirit of unity, goodwill, and brotherhood be strengthened among all citizens. May peace, harmony, prosperity, and happiness prevail in everyone’s lives.
I extend my heartfelt wishes to all for a joyous and blessed Deepavali.”
