Dr. B. K. Kolita Kamal Jinadasa, who was appointed as the new Secretary to the Ministry of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources, assumed duties yesterday (21st of May).
An induction ceremony was held to welcome him and a farewell ceremony was held to bid farewell to the former Secretary to the Ministry of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources, Mr. Sampath Manthrinayake, who was appointed as the new Secretary to the Ministry of Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment.
The ceremony was held at the Auditorium of the Ministry under the patronage of the Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources, Hon. Ramalingam Chandrasekar, and the Deputy Minister, Hon. Rathna Gamage. Numerous people, including heads of institutions operating under the Ministry and senior officials, participated in this event.
