JICA Pledges Support to Rebuild Fisheries Sector After Disaster!<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\"\"\/\t\t\t\t

A successful discussion was held on December 16th between Dr. Kolitha Kamal Jinadasa, Secretary to the Ministry of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources, and a delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), including its Chief Representative in Sri Lanka, Mr. Kuronuma Kenji. The meeting focused on identifying key priorities for rebuilding the fisheries sector in the post-disaster context.<\/p>\n\n

The discussion cen\u0db1\u0dc0\u0dd3\u0d9a\u0dbb\u0dab\u0dbatered on obtaining JICA’s support for four key areas: harbor modernization, developing aquaculture with new technology, ensuring the safety of small vessels, and developing the cold chain.<\/p>\n\n
